Residential Camper Check-In

Students living on campus in a residence hall - not a satellite housing location - for the Fall semester are able to move into their residence hall early! SOÌìÃÀ´«Ã½°²×¿Æƽâ°æ Camp Check-In and Housing Move-In occur from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Day 1 of your registered camp session. 

Move-in details are listed below and were emailed to registered campers on July 30. Select your residence hall for more details:

Residential Camper Parking

Residential campers who wish to have a vehicle on campus during SOÌìÃÀ´«Ã½°²×¿Æƽâ°æ Camp and/or during the school year must purchase a permit for their designated zone. Permits will be available for purchase beginning August 5. Please review your option(s) by following the instructions below.

After acquiring your permit, residential campers will be able to park in their designated parking permit area throughout the duration of SOÌìÃÀ´«Ã½°²×¿Æƽâ°æ Camp and into the school year.
 

To obtain your Fall 2025 parking permit:

1. with your ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½°²×¿Æƽâ°æID and password.
2. Access the Parking & Transportation card.
3. Click "Access My Parking Account."
4. Follow the prompts to register your vehicle and purchase your permit. 

Important Parking Notes

• Please do not leave valuables in your vehicle. We are not responsible for items that may be lost or stolen during Camp.
• All vehicles must park head in so that your license plate is visible from the aisle.
• If you don't see the residential permit option, check back the next business day to see if your parking portal has been updated.
• Parents/Guests/Rental Vehicles. Any vehicle that is not registered with the university (parent/guest vehicles, rentals, etc.) will be allowed to park in the Girard Park Parking Tower until 12:00PM/noon on August 6 (Camp A) / August 11 (Camp B).
  • Hourly parking fees will NOT apply on this date for the Girard Park Parking Tower. Please do not enter payment information after you park

Commuter Camper Check-In

Students NOT living on campus, and students who received a housing assignment for our satellite housing location for the Fall semester will check into a temporary on-campus room for SOÌìÃÀ´«Ã½°²×¿Æƽâ°æ Camp. SOÌìÃÀ´«Ã½°²×¿Æƽâ°æ Camp Check-In occurs from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Day 1 of your registered camp session. All commuter students must check out and turn in their key after lunch on Day 2 (before departing for Tall Timbers).

Commuter Camper Parking

Commuter campers that wish to have a vehicle on campus during SOÌìÃÀ´«Ã½°²×¿Æƽâ°æ Camp and/or during the school year must purchase a permit. Permits will be available for purchase beginning August 5. The Cajun Field parking permit is $0 - but you must still get the permit. Other paid options may appear in your "My Parking Account"

After acquiring your permit, commuter campers will be able to park in the Taft Street Parking Garage throughout the duration of SOÌìÃÀ´«Ã½°²×¿Æƽâ°æ Camp. You MUST have either purchased a permit or registered your vehicle for free with the Cajun Field option before you park for SOÌìÃÀ´«Ã½°²×¿Æƽâ°æ Camp.

Schedule Highlights

Early Move-In Option

Those participating in SOÌìÃÀ´«Ã½°²×¿Æƽâ°æ Camp A and B will move into their assigned Residence Hall room during Check-In/Move-In on the first day of their camp session. Commuter campers will be assigned a temporary room on campus for the duration of SOÌìÃÀ´«Ã½°²×¿Æƽâ°æ Camp.

Krewe Time

Campers will be assigned to small groups, better known as Krewes during camp. Each Krewe will lead by two of our student mentors.

Campers will have access to our University Recreation Center at Bourgeois Hall. Camp participants can swim in our aquatic center, play beach volleyball, water volleyball, indoor volleyball, shoot some hoops, or just relax by the pool.

Community Service Project

During SOÌìÃÀ´«Ã½°²×¿Æƽâ°æ Camp Day of Service, campers will be grouped with student mentors and faculty/staff members from the University to complete a variety of community service projects in the Acadiana region. Service projects are coordinated by the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½°²×¿Æƽâ°æ Lafayette and

Pump It Up!

Krewes will showcase their Ragin' Cajun pride through Krewe chants, cheers, banners, and skits. Each Krewe symbolizes a significant University tradition or special piece of campus history. During Pump It Up, you'll learn about the rich traditions, culture, and history that make our campus so unique.

Ragin' Routine Rounds

Ragin' Routine Rounds is designed to mimic a typical class day. Students will attend five "classes" on the topics of Personality, Career Preparation, Leadership, and Academic Success.

Remember, this is a four-day camp experience and we will be spending ample time outdoors. Please bring enough clothes and other personal items to ensure your own personal comfort.

• Sleeping bag and/or bed linens (twin XL size mattress)

What Not to Bring

SOÌìÃÀ´«Ã½°²×¿Æƽâ°æ Camp is an official ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½°²×¿Æƽâ°æ event and will be tobacco-, drug-, and alcohol-free. Weapons or other destructive devices are not allowed at SOÌìÃÀ´«Ã½°²×¿Æƽâ°æ Camp. Any camper who brings such items will be subject to the and will be asked to leave camp immediately. 

All campers are required to submit the SOÌìÃÀ´«Ã½°²×¿Æƽâ°æ Camp Participation Agreement. Please print the form, fill it out, and turn it in during SOÌìÃÀ´«Ã½°²×¿Æƽâ°æ Camp Check-In.
