The 2013 Wear Red Champions will be recognized Saturday at Cajun Field with an on-field presentation during the Ragin’ Cajuns football game versus Texas State.
Students, faculty, staff, community members and businesses submitted dozens of photos that captured “Wear Red” displays of school spirit on Friday, Aug. 30.
A committee of University staff members chose winners for the Wear Red Day contest, which was held in conjunction with National College Colors Day.
The best, most creative “Wear Red” entries, in eight categories, are:
- Small business champion—Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce
- Medium business champion—Garden View Assisted Living
- Large business champion—McDonald’s
- School category winner—David Thibodaux STEM Magnet Academy
- Spirit category winner—FM Bank
- Sign category winner—Lafayette Schools Credit Union
- Campus category winner—College of Nursing and Allied Health Professions
- Family winner—The LaBorde Family
