Our meal plans are designed to provide convenient, healthy, and delicious dining options to suit every student's needs.

Meal Plan Terminology

Meals/Meal Swipes: Meal swipes per week can be used in the Cypress Lake Dining Room located within the Student Union or Café Fleur de Lis located near Legacy Park Apartments. 

Declining balance: (DB) can be used in all retail dining locations including Starbucks, McAlister’s Deli, Café Fleur de Lis options, Jazzman’s Café, Smoothie King, and the Ragin’ Cajun Food Court. DB can also be used in the Cypress Lake Dining Hall as an alternative to a meal swipe or cash payment.

Residence Halls

All students living in the residence halls (Agnes Edwards, Bonin, Coronna, Baker, Huger, and Harris) are required to purchase a Cajun Freedom Plan or Cajun Select Plan.

Legacy Park Apartments

Students living in Legacy Park Apartments who have completed thirty (30) semester hours or fewer are required to purchase a Cajun Freedom or Cajun Select Plan. Students who have completed thirty-one (31) or more semester hours are required to purchase a Cajun Freedom, Cajun Select, or Cajun Classic Plan.

The Heritage Apartments

Meal plans are optional for residents in The Heritage Apartments.

Resident Meal Plan Rates

Proposed Meal Plan Rates for Fall 2026 - Spring 2027 

Rates are per semester. Academic Year 2026 - 2027 rates are posted pending approval and are subject to change. Resident meal plans purchased through the University for Fall and Spring are assessed a $35 meal processing fee.

Meal Plan Rates for Summer 2026 

Summer 2026 rates are posted pending approval and are subject to change. Resident meal plans purchased through the University for Summer are assessed a $20 meal processing fee. Cajun Classic Light Summer can only be purchased by The Heritage residents or commuter students.
